Hi, I'm Rachel, a TESOL-certified English coach with 15 years of global teaching experience in South Korea, Spain, Israel, and Costa Rica. My diverse background equips me with unique insights into your language learning journey. Let's unlock your English potential together!
Starting Out
From a young dream penned in a 3rd-grade English class journal to becoming an international English educator and mentor, my teaching journey has been profound and transformative.
My aspiration to teach took root in high school, initially steering me toward becoming a Spanish teacher. This passion led me to Spain, where, after several immersive experiences and upon completing my university studies, I realized my true calling was teaching English.
This epiphany prompted me to obtain my TEFL certification in Spain, marking the beginning of a global teaching adventure that took me to Costa Rica, South Korea, and, ultimately, Israel.
Training & Development
In Israel, my career path deepened and diversified. I transitioned from teaching at the elementary level to high school and then to a combined middle/high school setting.
My dedication and innovative approach to language teaching caught the attention of the head of the English Language Ministry of Education, leading to a pivotal role: mentoring teachers to enhance their English fluency and teaching efficacy.
This role underscored my belief in communication as a foundational pillar for global understanding and personal growth.
A New Chapter
Despite my successes, the journey was not without its challenges. My educational philosophy often clashed with the rigid frameworks of the traditional education system, sparking periods of professional introspection.
I yearned for the freedom to teach on my terms and to reach a broader audience beyond the confines of the classroom. The conviction that effective communication and lifelong learning are keys to a better, more connected world drove me to pursue an independent path.
The conflict in Israel catalyzed change, guiding me to leave and embark on a mission to foster global connections through English education.
My achievements, including the honor of being selected by the Ministry of Education as a mentor for teachers and the privilege of teaching hundreds of students and educators, are milestones that reflect my commitment to this mission.
